NEIGHBORHOOD
INFORMATION CARTS During the summer months, to promote
tourism and business, the BID places two attractive information
carts in highly visible areas within the BID. The carts are
kept fully stocked with maps, calendars and listings, and
other informational material about events and opportunities
in Lincoln Square, as well as throughout the city. Local students
from Martin Luther King, Jr. High
School staff and operate the carts, serving as knowledgeable,
helpful ambassadors for the district and the BID. Students
benefit from the employment and career-building opportunity,
while residents and visitors gain valuable information about
the neighborhood. Over 30 students have been employed in the
carts program since 1999.
BANNERS The lively seasonal
banners that hang along Broadway define and “brand”
the district and promote tourism and shopping in the area. If you are interested in sponsoring a series of banners please call our office at 212.581.3774.
